The main objective of the Observatory of scientific literature related to photovoltaic solar energy and biodiversity is to provide a search and consultation tool that facilitates access to scientific knowledge for people interested in the management and conservation of biodiversity linked to the areas affected by solar photovoltaic energy infrastructures. The Observatory compiles the publications used in a systematic literature review on the impacts of solar photovoltaic energy on different components of biodiversity and on the mitigation measures applied to minimize these impacts. The Observatory will be regularly updated with new advances in knowledge generated on the subject worldwide.

The tool consists of search fields corresponding to different thematic categories and presents, for each publication, a brief summary of the main results and conclusions drawn from the abstract of the paper itself, as well as a link to the original publication.
